Abstract
Two new saponins, achyranthosides A and B, were isolated from Achyrant hes fauriei root, and their structures were elucidated on the basis of chemical and physical evidences. Achyranthoside A methyl ester was fo und to have significant cytotoxic activity against human colon carcino ma and murine melanoma cells.
