Abstract
Stable aqueous wood solutions were prepared from wood chips of cedar a nd fir. Solutions were prepared by extraction conducted until the extr act reached a constant pH. Extracts were used as test solutions for el ectrochemical experiments. Anodic polarization curves obtained for car bon steel specimens in the solutions were very reproducible, indicatin g stability of the test solutions.
