Abstract
Template synthesis of uranyl salts with tetraaza macrocyclic ligands o btained by in situ reaction of benzil or diacetyl with 1,2-diaminobenz ene, 1,2-diaminoethane and 1,3-diaminopropane yields novel mono-, di- and tri-nuclear macrocyclic complexes. The uranium(VI) atom is octacoo rdinated in the mononuclear complex, whereas in polynuclear complexes it is hepta coordinated terminally and hexa coordinated centrally.
