Abstract
The fogging technique was used to collect spiders from tree canopies i n the Central Amazon. Spiders were sampled from two canopies of a freq uent terra firme rainforest tree species (Goupia glabra Aubl., Celastr aceae) during the dry season (August 1991) and the rainy season (Febru ary 1992). We present species lists and discuss species inventory, spe cies number, relative abundance and diversity comparing the different samples.
