Abstract
How realistic is the attempt to identify books that should be held by every undergraduate library? The authors of this article review past e fforts to develop a core list of books for undergraduate libraries and examine several collection overlap studies. They then present finding s from analyses of overlap among several groups of libraries, and disc uss the implications of these findings.
