M. Stoytcheva, BIOELECTROCATALYTICAL DETERMINATION OF SOME HEAVY-METALS AND THEIR INFLUENCE ON THE CATALYTIC ACTIVITY OF THE IMMOBILIZED ACETYLCHOLINESTERASE, Bulletin des Societes chimiques belges, 103(4), 1994, pp. 147-149
On the basis of the process of the acetylthiocholine iodide hydrolysis
, catalysed by the enzyme acetylcholinesterase and the obtaining of an
electroactive product, an amperometric sensor is created. An electroc
hemically modified graphite electrode is used, with acetylcholinestera
se covalently linked directly on its surface. It is demonstrated that
it can be applied for the quantitative determination of some heavy met
al ions - Fe3+, Cd2+, Cu2+ and Mn2+ and for establishing their influen
ce on the acetylcholinesterase activity.
