Abstract
The application of dislocation models for earthquake faulting has beco me routine in the present-day studies of the dynamic field induced by earthquakes. In this review article, we discuss the effect of the fini teness of a dislocation source and its motion on body wave radiation p atterns. The Aki-Haskel model used for computing the near-field ground motion is also described.
