CONDITIONS FOR SOCIAL-RESPONSIBILITY

This article explores the relationship between cultural integrity, div ersity, and social responsibility. The obligations and opportunities o f responsible citizenship in a complex diverse society pose a difficul t political issue that modern societies scarcely recognize. It is not clear the article concludes, how large and diverse a society can becom e and yet remain sufficiently cohesive to behave responsibly by any me aningful standard.
