Abstract
From an existing IR microscope, we have built an experiment allowing u s to measure simultaneously the height and the local temperature of a rough material heated by a modulated focused laser beam. Roughness pro file and temperature field appear to be strongly correlated. We propos e a theoretical interpretation of this phenomenon, based on a conforma l mapping method.
