The time-resolved spontaneous emission from a disordered molecular mon
olayer is calculated using Green-function techniques. In addition to a
fast-decaying transmitted and reflected coherent component in the for
ward direction, and a slowly decaying, incoherent, spatially homogeneo
us background, we predict a backscattering peak related to weak locali
zation of excitons. Analytical and numerical calculations of the energ
y- and disorder-dependent cooperative radiative decay rate, the quantu
m yield of the coherent and incoherent components, and the exciton dif
fusion coefficient are presented.
