Abstract
We have carried out numerical investigations of transmittance fluctuat ions is disordered chains in the presence of external electric fields. We have obtained an almost constant fluctuation in a length scale sma ller than the localization length. However, the value of the fluctuati on in the plateau region is dependent on the external electric field a nd the strength of the disorder. We have also studied the transmittanc e autocorrelation as a function of external electric field to probe th e nonlinearity in the transmittance.
