Abstract
A current source inverter fed induction motor drive with capacitive fi lter and load commutated inverter is presented. The design of a field- oriented current vector control takes account of the operating conditi on of the load commutated inverter. The result is the use of a linear, timediscrete state controller with time-variant parameters. Measured results of a realized drive show the favourable operating conditions o f the induction motor in the load commutated operating region.
