Abstract
The paper considers methodological questions relating to consideration of the effect of the atmosphere in thematic processing of the results of remote sensing of the Earth. As an example, it is shown that it is advantageous to select sensor spectral channels in the interval 550-7 00 nm when surveying certain soil and vegetation objects.
