Abstract
The effects of shock waves indeed by pulsed laser with high power on t he hardness, microstructure and fatigue life of metallic materials are investigated. Mean while, it is found that the hardness of 30CrMnSi2A increases by 60% and the fatigue life of 202dT62 increases 600% an th e average after laser irradiation.
