C. Samara et al., LIQUID-CHROMATOGRAPHIC DETERMINATION OF N-HERBICIDES IN SURFACE WATERS BY USING DIODE-ARRAY DETECTION AND MULTICOMPONENT ANALYSIS, Fresenius environmental bulletin, 3(9), 1994, pp. 534-539
A multiresidue analysis for twenty-five N-herbicides (1,3,5-triazines
and metabolites, phenylurea derivates and substituted anilines) in riv
er water samples with PP-HPLC is described. Sample preconcentration an
d clean up was done by solid phase extraction. Recovery rates of most
herbicides were higher than 80% at the optimum pH value, and detection
limits much lower than the maximum permissible concentration of 0.1 m
ug/l. By the use of diode array detection and multi-component analysis
a high security was reached for substance identification and quantita
tion.
