Abstract
The Orient species of the genus Ancyronyx Erichson are revised. It is shown that A. acaroides Grouvelle is correctly placed in the genus Anc yronyx. Five new species and one new subspecies are described: Ancyron yx acaroides cursor ssp. n. (Bali), A. johanni sp. n. (Siberut), A. ma lickyi sp. n. (Sumatra, Thailand, Borneo), A. procerus sp. n. (Borneo) , A. sarawacensis sp. n. (Borneo) and A. schillhammeri sp. n. (Mindoro ). A lectotype is designated for A. acaroides. A key to the world spec ies is included. Ancyronyx constrictus Reitter is transferred to the g enus Stenelmis Dufour.
