MULTI-ADDRESS TRANSMISSION-SYSTEM FOR STILL PICTURE VIA ISDN

Our new multi-address transmission system, which supports a recently i ssued TTC standard, solves problems limiting still picture communicati on through ISDN. Although high-resolution still pictures have recently become available in only a few seconds through ISDN, transmission was only possible between terminals of the same type. Moreover, it was li mited to one-to-one communication because protocols are not intended f or other usage. By using the multi-destination delivery protocol in th e ''Still Video Communication over ISDN'' enacted in May 1993 by the T TC, this system can provide new applications of one-to-multipoint comm unication compatible with other types of still picture transmission te rminals.
