Abstract
We study a quantum-mechanical rotor driven by two traveling potential- energy waves. We show that the decay properties of momentum-space wave functions can be predicted using a quantum renormalization map. We de scribe the results of numerical simulations of the Schrodinger equatio n, and compare the map's predictions to the behavior observed in the s imulations.
