Abstract
A boundary layer analysis is presented to study the effects of vectore d surface mass transfer and induced buoyancy streamwise pressure gradi ents on heat transfer to a horizontal plate placed in a micropolar flu id. Numerical solutions of the transformed boundary layer equations ar e obtained for different values of the mass transfer, buoyancy and mat erial parameters. A discussion is provided for the effects of the vect ored surface mass transfer and the buoyancy force on the friction fact or and heat transfer rate.
