Abstract
Glenohumeral instability refers to subluxation or dislocation of the g lenohumeral joint. This painful disorder is particularly common in the athletic population, and the individual with instability may present with a variety of clinical complaints. This paper addresses current th eories regarding the pathophysiology of glenohumeral instability and i llustrates magnetic resonance findings that can assist in diagnosis an d treatment planning.
