Abstract
Using an isoperibol twin-Dewar solution calorimeter, the enthalpy of r eaction of barium styphnate was determined as +17.12 kJ mol(-1), which with various ancillary data gave the standard enthalpy of formation o f - 1308.88 kJ mol(-1).
