Abstract
We have proposed a semi-empirical expression for the alloy composition and temperature dependence of the fundamental energy gap in the CuGa( I)n(1-x)Se(2) alloy system. A good agreement between theoretical predi ctions and available experimental data is found. It seems that such se mi-empirical expressions are of considerable importance for the analys is of results on new ternary and quaternary compounds and its alloys f or which detailed studies based on a more fundamental analysis are not available.
