Abstract
Working within the framework of Glauber multiple-scattering theory and treating the alpha-alpha amplitude as the basic one, we calculate alp ha-C-12 elastic scattering differential cross-section at 1.37 GeV in t he alpha-particle model for C-12. It is found that the calculated cros s-sections are in much better agreement with the experimental ones tha n in earlier parameter-free calculations in the region of the first ma xima. Limitations of the models to account for the data at larger mome ntum transfers are discussed.
