Abstract
We derive QCD sum rules for heavy baryons at leading order in 1/m(Q) a nd at next-to-leading order in alpha(S). The calculation involves the evaluation of four different perturbative three-loop diagrams which de termine the alpha(S) Corrections to the Wilson coefficients of the lea ding term in the operator product expansion. From the sum rules we obt ain estimates for the masses and the residues of the heavy baryons Lam bda(Q) and Sigma(Q). The perturbative O(alpha(S)) corrections to the l eading order spectral function amount to about 100%, and they shift th e calculated values for the baryon masses slightly upward. The residue s are shifted upward by about 20-50%. For the bound state energy <(Lam bda)over bar> given by the difference of the heavy baryon mass and the pole mass of the heavy quark m(Q) we obtain m(Lambda Q)-m(Q) congruen t to 780 MeV and m(Sigma Q)-M(Q) congruent to 950 MeV. For the residue s we find \F-A\congruent to 0.028 GeV3 and \F-Sigma\ congruent to 0.03 9 GeV3.
