Abstract
The evaluation of chemical constitution correctness and impurities con tent in working liquids being in use in machines is of great importanc e for safe operation of these appliances. In the paper the PAS-based e xperimental investigation of lubricating oils properties are outlined. Photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS), compared with actually used measure ment methods, is estimated to be less expensive and time-consuming, pr oviding simultaneously adequate repeatability and accuracy of results. The preliminary results oi photoacoustical investigation oi lubricati ng oils degradation are presented.
