P. Mine, PHOTOEMISSIVE MATERIALS AND THEIR APPLICATION TO GASEOUS DETECTORS, Nuclear instruments & methods in physics research. Section A, Accelerators, spectrometers, detectors and associated equipment, 343(1), 1994, pp. 99-108
The photoemissive materials presently used or envisaged in gaseous cou
nters, especially for RICH detectors, are reviewed. General properties
of solid, liquid and gas photocathodes are presented, with special in
terest in the effect of an adsorbed layer. The quantum efficiency of i
norganic, organic and organometallic compounds in the UV range, togeth
er with their practical interest, is discussed.
