Abstract
A 50 X 50 cm2 RICH detector prototype with optical readout has been te sted during the 1992 S-32 run period at the CERN SPS, to provide parti cle identification in the momentum range 1.5-4.0 GeV/c. Construction d etails and results of the analysis of the CCD images are discussed, ta king reconstruction algorithms and tracking predictions into account.
