Computations of Huang and Gupta of enthalpy relaxation in thin soda-li
me-silicate glass fibers are revised to correct an error in their form
ula for the configurational entropy. New sets of parameters for the To
ol-Narayanaswamy model for a rapidly cooled 10 mum diameter fiber are
given. The conclusions of Huang and Gupta regarding the failure of the
Tool-Narayanaswamy model remain valid.
