Abstract
C1' acylated derivatives of 2'-deoxyuridine (1a-c) were synthesized fr om 1-[3-deoxy-beta-D-psicofuranosyl]uracil (6). The acyl group is intr oduced via the C1' aldehyde (11). Following nucleophilic addition, the ketones (1a-c) are obtained via periodinane oxidation and desilylatio n with NH4F.
