We have performed the 0 degree measurements of proton inelastic scatte
ring for the 1(+), T=0 (12.7 MeV) and 1(+), T=1 (15.1 MeV) states in C
-12 at E(p)=100, 200, 300, 400 MeV. The ratio of the excitation cross
sections for these two states significantly deviates from the estimati
on of the distorted wave analysis, suggesting that the effective inter
actions V-tau(T) V-sigma might be modified to reproduce the experiment
al data.
