Abstract
We estimated hypernuclear and h-spin polarizations produced in the (pi (+), K+) and (K-, pi(-)) reactions. The depolarization effects due to gamma-transtions and particle emissions are taken into account to get the final polarization before the weak decay. A measurement of the wea k-decay pion asymmetry from the polarized He-5(Lambda) is shown to be promising.
