Abstract
We report a prospective study of 57 one-stage cemented revisions of to tal hip replacement for deep infection with an actively discharging si nus. The average follow-up was 7 years 4 months. Seven patients had re quired rerevisions, but at latest follow-up, infection was under contr ol in 49 (86%). A discharging sinus is not, in itself, a contraindicat ion to one-stage revision of a hip replacement.
