Codeposition behavior of SiC powders with Ni under various conditions
was studied. In the low-current-density region, codeposition follows t
he two successive adsorption steps first proposed by Guglielmi. On the
other hand, codeposition is a function of powder transfer control in
the high-current-density region. These predictions were verified exper
imentally. In addition, the effect of stir on the volume fraction of S
iC powders in the deposit was also investigated.
