The present intervention outcome study proposed a specific difference
in how intervening with the Vocational Card Sort versus the Strong/Str
ong-Campbell would be experienced by clients. The study included a par
ticipant attribute variable (locus of control for career development)
and an outcome variable (career decision-making self-efficacy) related
to this proposed difference. There were no statistically significant
intervention or intervention by participant attribute effects at follo
w-up time. Nevertheless, there were statistically significant differen
ces in satisfaction at various points in the administration of the int
erest interventions. Implications for career counseling and future res
earch are discussed.
