S. Beerborst et al., DIETARY FIBER INTAKE OF A SWISS COLLECTIV E INTERESTED IN NUTRITION, Zeitschrift fur Ernahrungswissenschaft, 33(1), 1994, pp. 68-78
From May to November 1991, a dietary survey in form of a 24-h-recall q
uestionnaire was carried out in Zurich. For the first time, food data
from a large, voluntary, undefined, selected collective was acquired (
n = 3653). The mean dietary fiber intake of the women was 30 g/day and
of the men 33 g/day, which is comparable with various literature data
. These values show a positive trend in the eating habits of the popul
ation. The dietary fiber intake was also considered in relation to the
origin of the fibers.
