Cobalt molybdates showed high catalytic activities for the oxidative d
ehydrogenation of propane to propene. Composition of the catalyst stro
ngly affects surface acidic properties, resulting in a drastic activit
y change. CO0.95 MoO4 calcined at 550 degrees C showed the highest cat
alytic performance, giving 60% selectivity to propene at 19% conversio
n of propane.
