The results of studies of the Ukrainian Shield (USh) basic structures
(Sura sinclinorium, Korsun'-Novomirgorod pluton, Krivoy Rog structure,
Novoukrainka massif, Central and Southern USh) by the seismic reflect
ed CDP-method are considered and analysed. The structures given show h
igh effectivity of the seismic reflected CDP-method in studying USh Ea
rth's crust structure. The wave field is dominated by single reflectio
ns and their series associated with tectonic disturbances and contacts
of rocks of different composition. Some of these results when compare
d with similar investigations in the region of post-Riphean consolidat
ion show that there is much in common between the crystalline complexe
s of pre- and post-Riphean consolidation in the peculiarities of spati
al reflection distribution on the CDP-sections. Similarity of reflecti
vity which we marked for the first time give us favourable perspective
s for creating similar seismic models of the consolidated crust irresp
ective of the last folding age.
