Abstract
Polycrystalline samples of PLNZT (Pb0.93(La1-xNax)0.07(Zr0.65Ti0.35)O3 , where x=0, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7) have been synthesized by a chemica l method. Preliminary X-ray structural study of the compound shows the formation of rhombohedral structure. Detailed studies of the dielectr ic constant and dielectric loss as a function of temperature (room tem perature to 350-degrees-C) at 1 and 10 kHz suggest that the compound h as relaxor behaviour and undergoes a diffuse type of phase transition.
