Abstract
The aim of the MAREL network is to automate the collection of data rel ative to the coastal water quality in order to follow up the levels an d trends of pollutant concentrations, to trigger alarms in the case of passing pre-defined thresholds or to obtain long time series for scie ntific needs. This article describes the subassemblies which make up t he special characteristics of the MAREL network measurement device: th e system for taking samples, the measuring chamber and the anti-foulin g device.
