Abstract
Total vapour pressure measurements made by the modified static method for the ternary system cyclohexane-methanol-acetone and all the consti tuent binary systems at 293.15 and 303.15 K are presented. The alcohol high-dilution region of the cyclohexane-methanol system has been thor oughly studied. Different expressions for G(E) suitable for correlatio n of these data are tested. The prediction of ternary VLE from the con stituent binaries is studied. The accuracy of the prediction of H-E fr om two (P,x) isotherms is studied for the binary systems. The possibil ity of predicting the ternary H-E from VLE isotherms is also studied. Our results are compared with literature data.
