Abstract
In both title complexes, is(2,4,6-trinitrophenolato-kappaO,O')cerium-( III), [Ce(C6H2N3O7)3(C5H12N2O)3] (1), and 2,4,6-trinitropheno-lato-kap paO,O')neodymium(III), [Nd(C6H2N3O7)3(C5-H12N2O) 3] (2), the lanthanid e ion is coordinated to three bidentate picrate and three monodentate tetramethylurea (TMU) groups in a distorted tricapped-trigonal prismat ic geometry.
