Abstract
Calculations are presented for the exclusive pion radiative capture re action from complex nuclei A(pi, gamma N)B in the framework of the non local distorted wave impulse approximation. Our results are found to b e in reasonable agreement with a recent TRIUMF experiment O-16(pi(+), gamma)O-15. Since pion radiative capture is related to pion photoprodu ction via time reversal invariance, the findings reported here are at variance with the recent BATES experiment O-16(gamma,pi(-)p)O-15.
