Abstract
An algorithm is presented that converts a spatial enumeration scheme i nto a CSG representation of an object. The scheme represents solid obj ects in terms of a discrete set of binary elements of the same (or com parable) size. An automatic conversion of such a representation into C SG trees would help the designer in reasoning with the represented art ifact. The algorithm has been developed to aid the interpretation of s tructural design topologies generated by homogenization. The work pres ented poses a challenging problem that does not have a unique solution , proposes a solution that solves the problem under a set of assumptio ns, and acts as a motivation for future work.
