H. Amindavar et Ja. Ritchey, PADE APPROXIMATIONS FOR DETECTABILITY IN K-CLUTTER AND NOISE, IEEE transactions on aerospace and electronic systems, 30(2), 1994, pp. 425-434
The Pade approximation (PA) method is used to analyze the detection pe
rformance of single and multiple pulse radar systems operating in K-di
stributed clutter and thermal noise. Simple approximations for false-a
larm and detection probabilities are obtained, using lower order momen
ts for the detection decision statistic. Both envelope and squaring de
tector laws are considered, with noncoherent integration, for independ
ent and correlated K clutter. The target is assumed to be pulse-to-pul
se Rayleigh fading. The methods are a substantial application of the P
A methods we have recently published.
