Abstract
The influence of isothermal treatment at 400 degrees C on the microstr ucture of a magnesium alloy/graphite composite was studied. The compos ite was characterized by Auger electron spectroscopy, scanning electro n microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray analysis and X-ray diffraction. Due to thermal treatment, the reaction zone containing carbides grows.
