Abstract
Three cats with sacral and pelvic fractures suffered from a spinal cor d lesion resulting in not ambulatory paraparesis. The neurologic defic its recovered, but urinary retention because of reflex-dyssynergia rem ained. The cats were treated successfully by a spincterotomy of the bl adderneck. The operation procedure is described. Physiology of micturi tion and pathology of bladder function in cats are discussed.
