A 4 year old femal German Shepherd dog was presented with an exophthal
mus of the right eye which had suddenly occurred 3 days ago. The cause
was a retention cyst of the zygomatic salivary gland due to an inflam
matory obstruction of the main duct caused by a stomatitis. The therap
y consisted of puncturing the cyst intraorally caudal to the M2 and an
tibiotic drug therapy.
