J. Abida et D. Claude, SPARK-IGNITION ENGINES AND POLLUTION EMISSION - NEW APPROACHES IN MODELING AND CONTROL, International journal of vehicle design, 15(3-5), 1994, pp. 494-508
A new nonlinear discrete model of a spark ignited gasoline engine is d
esigned. With good accuracy in a large field, it predicts the engine d
ynamical behaviour in terms of intake manifold pressure, fuel-air rati
o, torque, speed and pollutants concentrations in the exhaust gas as r
esponse of throttle opening, spark advance and injection time strategi
es. A new approach to study fuel economy and pollutants emission minim
ization is worked out.
