Abstract
A solvable model of the scattering of a one-dimensional particle by th
e familiar ''middle-third'' Cantor set is considered. It is shown that
the presence of positive energy levels in such a model is typical. Fr
om the high-energy behavior of the scattering, data computation of the
Hausdorff dimension of the scatterer is suggested.
