Abstract
This paper aims to further the understanding of the connection between migration and maquiladora employment in the economic strategies of ho useholds in the popular classes in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. The analysis compares households of maquiladora workers with households of women w orking in other occupations to uncover differences in migration patter ns and to determine the merits of the economic strategies they are pur suing.
